Delegate Dan Cox announced earlier this summer that he is running for governor of Maryland as a Republican. Cox, a Trump supporter, “called Vice President Mike Pence a traitor in a tweet that he posted during the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump.”
Cox later apologized:

Last fall, Walter Olson pointed out that Cox had used a QAnon hashtag on Twitter. As The Frederick News-Post noted:
That hashtag has often been associated with the QAnon conspiracy theory, which claims Democrats and Hollywood elites are running a cabal of Satanic-worshipping, child-sex predators, and that President Donald Trump is fighting that cabal. #WWG1WGA stands for “Where We Go One, We Go All,” a rallying cry for the movement.
More recently Cox has promoted the joke that was the Mike Lindell cyber symposium last week. He also is attending an Audit the Vote Rally being held in Pennsylvania by a politician there, and calling for audits in states other than Maryland.
Also at that rally will be Amy Kremer who was behind the Stop the Steal rally on January 6th.
The Duckpin notes that Cox has also claimed there was massive fraud that benefited Biden in Maryland.
Cox will likely finish ahead of political gadfly Robin Ficker but I seriously doubt he could defeat Kelly Schulz.
