This weekend, across the river from Charleston (SC) in Mt. Pleasant, Bikers for Trump will present a Salute to Moms featuring the craziness of Lin Wood and Mike Lindell.

The first 250 mothers there will get a free MyPillow courtesy of Lindell.

Lin Wood has been enjoying surprising levels of support during his run for SC GOP Chairman recently. However, he has also had his unhinged moments.

Amy Hill of Sandy Run News recently interviewed all four candidates for state chairman.

Here’s the interview with Wood:

Hill told Will Folks that she thought it went well but that Wood didn’t think so:

“He insulted me several times – he called me unprofessional and said I had an ulterior motive,” she told me.

“It was degrading, insulting and he needs to apologize to me and every woman – every journalist he has treated this way,” Hill continued, her voice rising as she spoke to me. “He is not a godly man – I will not stand for a man to berate a woman the way he did. It’s disgusting.”

“This man is not right for South Carolina – he needs to go home,” Hill concluded.

This goes along with the rest of the behavior by Wood in SC and his conspiracy-pedding and rumor-mongering.

Tim Miller of Bulwark wrote at length about an appearance by Wood at a Richland County GOP event. Be sure to read the whole thing if you haven’t already. Miller does a great job of rounding up all the batshit crazy things Wood has done or said in Soth Carolina. This includes a claim that I-73 is being extended into the Grand Strand as a route for sex trafficking.

Miller also notes:

When asked to handicap the race, these party insiders seemed to think Wood is poised to get about 25 percent of the vote in the convention that takes place later this month.

Miller goes on to say:

On the other hand, what Lin Wood is selling is a category difference from your standard-issue crank. If a quarter of the state’s dominant political party is nodding along to claims about Trump’s secret presidency that are so batshit insane you are forced to contemplate whether or not it’s an Ali G-style hoax, then it might be time to rethink some things.

The hybrid convention will be held Saturday, May 15 starting at 10 a.m. and it will go on until voting is finished.
