Lin Wood lives on a South Carolina plantation named Tomotley that was built in the late 17th - early 18th century. The slave census of Tomotley increased to 138 by 1860.

Listen to Woods’s remarks via this tweet:

Lin Wood, who lives on a former slave plantation, said he is “proud” that he lives on one where the slaves were happy: “The families that owned Tomotley and the slaves treated each other with respect, and they were not abused.” (Audio)

A company linked to Wood has been sued for over $200,000 by builders who claim they were never paid for work at Tomotley.

It has been reported that Woods’ Palmetto State plantations were meeting places for conspiracy theorists to work on election cases following the 2020 election.

Wood’s move to SC was part of his unsuccessful carpetbagger campaign for Chairman of the state’s Republican Party.
